All scheduled maintenance is carried out in South Africa at our main base, Kruger Mpumalanga International airport (KMI) in Mbombela, by a dedicated team of qualified and Embraer certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, structural technicians and interior experts.
Our SACAA approved maintenance facility is fully geared up and structured to accommodate a large range of maintenance services which includes all major required inspections, avionics upgrades and complete interior refurbishment. We have a Heavy Duty Maintenance facility at KMI which allows the company to perform all heavy engine maintenance and boroscopes in-house.
Minor maintenance and routine checks are carried out at our numerous SACAA approved line station maintenance facilities by the on-site engineer.
We aim to achieve the highest level of quality service while ensuring the timely turnaround of the aircraft.
We keep a comprehensive parts and consumables inventory, including spare engines, on hand thereby allowing all maintenance requirements to be met internally, minimising down time and ensuring dispatch reliability. We have built up our inventory over our years of operation and have excellent supplier relationships to ensure supply chain guarantee across our fleet.
We have an unparalleled approach to service and go to great lengths to ensure the fastest provision of spare parts to our bases all across Africa and the Middle East.
SAAM uses sophisticated AERONET software for maintenance planning, to track all aircraft components and cycles as well as parts procurement to ensure CAA compliance.
In order to support our performance commitment to our clients, Sahara African Aviation Maintenance establishes up a fully equipped and certified line station at all of our operational basis, stocked with high usage parts and consumables under the control of qualified EMB 120 and ERJ 145 certified engineers.
